The UITS Help Center offers a chat support option.
The UITS Help Center is a frequent pathway to IT support for our community. Its staff field a broad range of questions and handle fluctuating levels of traffic daily. In an effort to expand contact options and to increase the Help Center capacity for concurrent engagements, we introduced a live text-based chat application to the Help Center website (helpcenter.uconn.edu). Support via chat is available during the normal operating hours of the Help Center, and access to this feature is through a link located on the bottom right corner of each Help Center web page. After evaluating the efficacy of this approach by monitoring usage and measuring resolution success rates, we have elected to make this functionality permanent. We encourage you to inform your constituents of this alternate way to engage with the Help Center and if you choose to use the app, to share your feedback about the experience.
