UITS supports  wired Local Area Network (LAN) access to all faculty, staff, students, and  guests at all University locations including Storrs, five Regional Campuses,  CES offices, and the Law School.

  • All data jacks on campus are active 2 – 5 business days  after the time of install.  Before requesting new service, please test the jack for connectivity.
  • Wired service to all UConn community members is 10/100 Megabit speed minimum to the service location (data jack).
  • UITS  does not support extension of the network beyond the service location, and asks  departments to initiate requests for adds, moves, or changes when addition network  access is needed.
  • General  access to the data network is available at no cost.
  • Moves,  adds, and/or changes may incur a charge  based upon the request.
